For certified open water divers, exploring the daylight zone of the cenotes is a spectacular and exciting experience. World famous for their extensive passages and crystal clear visibility, divers who venture here are rewarded with one of nature´s most stunning lightshows as sunbeams emanating through the cracks above pierce the darkness and dance about the cavern walls. The rock formations here are also quite impressive, as one drifts through a forest of stalagtites, stalagmites, and giant columns, it gives the sensation of a truly “other worldly” experience.

We offer daily tours to various local cenotes, and all the critical elements for a great day are covered in our standard pricing. Full equipment rental, tanks, transportation from our shop to the dive sites and back, cenote entry fees, professional guide service, healthy snacks, and drinking water are included. Xcalak is the southernmost town in the Mexican Caribbean. Isolated and remote, it remains one of the last “hidden wonders” of the Riveria maya. You wont find much tourism or development here, but you will find a pristine, flourishing, reef system untouched by human effect. For an additional fee, the Banco Chinchorro atoll is also accessable from this point. Lying only 36 miles from shore, it is the largest coral atoll in the western hemisphere. The remoteness and infrequent human activity of Chinchorro make this site an unparalleled spectacle of nature.
